How fast do you ship?
I ship items that are in stock within 3 business days after payment. If you purchased a "made to order" item, please give it up to two weeks for production and shipping.
Where do you ship your products from? How soon will it get to my country?
I ship from Helsinki, Finland. I use Priority Letter postage for all my orders. According to Finnish post service it takes 2-5 business days for Priority Letters to reach northern and central Europe, 3-6 days the rest of Europe and 4-10 days the rest of the world. Time frame may still vary from that depending on how the post service works in your country.
Will I have tracking number for my order?
I use Priority Letter postage for all my orders. This option does not include tracking information. I use this option because it provides fast shipment while still being affordable for my customers. If you'd like me to use a different shipping option for your order (e.g. registered letter or express shipping), contact me at email@example.com
What is your return policy?
Generally I do not offer returns for my products. I take lots of care in packaging and shipping my products. If there is a mistake with your order made on my end, please e-mail me immediately and you will be offered a full refund.
I was charged by my post office when my order arrived.
I ship my products from Finland and if you live outside the EU you might be charged a sales tax/customs duties by your country's authorities. Country specific taxes are full responsibility of the buyer.
How do you make your notebooks?
For my handmade notebooks I use a special book binding technique, that is similar to coptic binding. I purchase pre-cut paper, print pages, when needed, fold the paper into signatures, poke holes in the spine and bind them using good old needle and thread. For hardcover notebooks, in addition to that, I also make covers by glueing fabric onto heavy cardboard. It is a time consuming and very precise process, that takes a lot of practice to perfect, but I love it with all my heart and can never get tired of doing it. Check the video of my process and read more about how I started here
How durable can handmade notebooks be?
The binding is very durable in all of the notebooks I make. If your notebook is going to experience heavy use (e.g. carried in a large bag with lots of other objects every day), I would suggest you purchase one of the hardcover
ones, as the soft covers are more likely to get ripped and worn out with heavy use. If you will keep you notebook on a desk, bedside table or in a tight and tidy bag, any of my notebooks will keep its shape just fine.
Are your notebooks suitable for drawing/painting?
Yes, they are! I use medium heavy 160 gsm white uncoated recycled paper. It is thick enough to not let sharpies or watercolors show through. It is smooth, which makes scanning it much easier. It is still recycled paper, though, so it is not perfectly white (but pretty close) and it has bits in it, that might scan together with your artwork. But unless you require perfectly white and smooth paper for your art, these notebooks are great for general sketching and drawing purposes. Just make sure to select plain pages when you purchase.
I wish you made a planner / recipe book / to-do list / birthday book / travel diary in your style
